Inspire Me Friday {Wedding Card}

Happy Friday, everyone! A friend of my family is getting married tomorrow and I thought the Calendar Stamp Set would be the perfect tool to personalize a wedding card. I started off with a dark blue card base and stamped a panel of cream colored cardstock with flowers from the Papertrey Ink (PTI) Pretty Peonies stamp set.

I then stamped and embossed a small die-cut panel with the "new couple" sentiment, which is from the PTI Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. Underneath this sentiment, I stamped the couple's wedding date. Blue ribbon and a couple of buttons pull this card together!

I also decorated the inside of card with a few flowers and the date stamp again. I hope I've inspired you to look for ways to add personalization to your projects by means of adding a date. The Calendar Stamp Set is perfect for this and I'm so glad I have it to use for future weddings, birthdays and graduations!

Inspire Me Friday: Halloween Greeting Card

Happy Friday, everyone! Since autumn is quickly approaching, I decided to make a Halloween-themed card and put my beloved Calendar Stamp Set to use! I started off by adhering panels of polka-dotted scrap booking paper to my card base and covering the seams with orange rikrak.

I used a Spellbinders Labels 8 die to die cut the kraft panel and used the die from the Papertrey Ink Little Princess set to die-cut the "haunted" castle. I used the PTI Holiday Button Bits stamp set to stamp to stamp the bat wings, which are actually mistletoe leaves! I added a pair of hole-punch eyes and my bat was complete!

I stamped a mini tag with the October 31st date and strung it with some twine and a button as a finishing touch. I hope I've inspired you to embrace our upcoming autumn by creating some seasonal craft projects of your own!
